Reeltime Apps Ltd built the Reelshot app as a free app. This Service is provided by Reeltime Apps Ltd at no cost and is intended for use as is.

AI Image Maker (OpenAI) – Data Use & Protection

Reelshot includes an optional AI Image Maker feature powered by the OpenAI API.
This feature allows you to generate images using prompts and reference photos.
 

What Data We Send to OpenAI

When you use the AI Image Maker, the following data may be processed by OpenAI solely for generating your requested image:

  • Images you upload or select within the feature

  • Text prompts or instructions you enter

  • Optional reference images

  • Technical metadata (e.g., resolution, file size) required for processing

We do not send:

  • Your name

  • Your email address

  • Account details

  • Payment information

  • Device identifiers beyond what is required for secure API communication

We do not store or retain any user images or prompts after they have been processed.
 

How Reelshot Handles Your Data

  • We do not store your AI input images or prompts on our servers.

  • We do not use your images for training, analytics, or marketing.

  • We do not share your images with anyone except OpenAI for the sole purpose of generating your result.

  • All data is transmitted securely using encrypted channels (HTTPS).

Once the image is generated and returned to your device, Reelshot does not retain any copies unless you choose to save them.
 

How OpenAI Handles Your Data

According to OpenAI’s API data policy (as of 2024–2025):

  • OpenAI does not use API data to train their models.

  • Input and output data may be retained for up to 30 days for abuse monitoring and security.

  • Data is deleted after that retention period unless legally required otherwise.

Log Data

In the event of an error while using the Service, we collect data through third-party products called Log Data. This Log Data may include:

  • Your device’s IP address

  • Device name
